The Simon Frawley Legacy Award is a lasting tribute to the life and career of Simon Frawley. As well as being a loving father, husband, brother, loyal friend and colleague, Simon was an inspirational leader in the built environment sector. He had a well-deserved reputation among his peers for a portfolio of work spanning over 40 years in the industry. To continue his legacy, the award will help young people to discover and pursue careers in the construction industry about which Simon was passionate.

The Simon Frawley Legacy Award, generously provided by Simon’s family in his memory, will support our Broadgate Future Talent initiative. Through this work, we support young people to overcome disadvantage and access meaningful, rewarding career opportunities being generated by the Broadgate development in London. We hope this initiative is a fitting tribute to Simon’s achievements in the industry, continuing the legacy of his long and inspiring career.

If you would kindly like to donate in Simon’s memory, please do so through our dedicated JustGiving page.

Simon’s Career

Progressing from a technical background, Simon went on to become a senior project manager on some of the largest and most complex construction projects in and around London – including St. Pancras Chambers, Victoria Square, Battersea Power Station, Serpentine Gallery and most recently 21 Moorfields for Sir Robert McAlpine.

In the face of extreme pressure, his unwavering calmness and ability to motivate a successful and committed team made Simon a truly unique leader.

Simon was enthusiastically involved with one-to-one mentoring of less experienced colleagues in their career development. Without doubt, Simon embodies our core values at Construction Youth Trust, and we are honoured to be continuing his legacy through our work. Once again, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Simon’s family for supporting Construction Youth Trust in Simon’s memory. We hope, through our dedicated work, that we can continue Simon’s truly inspiring legacy.
