Hitting the Mark: Multiplex’s Annual Clay Pigeon Shoot Raises £44,000 for Construction Youth Trust
We’re incredibly grateful to Multiplex for their extensive partnership and varied, ongoing support of Construction Youth Trust. As well as supporting our young people by hosting transformative industry experiences, opening doors to life-changing apprenticeship opportunities and being one of our most prolific on-the-ground partners, Multiplex continues to raise valuable funds in support of Construction Youth Trust to enable our work. In September, Multiplex hosted their Annual Clay Pigeon Shooting event at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School, which, incredibly, raised £44,000 for Construction Youth Trust!
The event brought together 23 teams made up of Multiplex colleagues, subcontractors and supply chain partners for a day of friendly competition in stunning surroundings. Following breakfast and a team briefing, participants took on 20 shooting stations spread across a picturesque valley, as well as a series of woodland flushing stations that tested teamwork and quick reactions.
The day provided a valuable opportunity for colleagues and partners from across the industry to connect away from the workplace while supporting two charities committed to creating opportunities and breaking down barriers for young people.
After a morning on the shooting range, guests gathered for a barbecue lunch on the clubhouse terrace, followed by fun activities, awards presentations, and speeches from Construction Youth Trust and our fellow charity beneficiary, 10,000 Interns Foundation.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone involved, Construction Youth Trust received an amazing £44,000, helping us continue supporting young people in local communities to overcome barriers and build successful, thriving careers in the built environment sector.
A huge thank you to Multiplex for organising such a memorable and impactful event. By generously covering the full cost of the event, Multiplex ensured that every pound raised through ticket sales and donations could go directly to the charities, maximising the event’s impact and demonstrating an exceptional commitment to the causes supported.
Events like this illustrate how powerful it can be when the built environment and charity sectors come together in support of a cause we are all passionate about – raising funds that create opportunities, change lives and help build the next generation of talent.
