There are lots of benefits to volunteering with Construction Youth Trust.
Volunteering at the Trust will help support young people to make informed and meaningful steps towards a rewarding career in construction, whilst learning new skills and making a lasting contribution to a young person's life.
It is so important for our young people to learn about what it is really like to work in the industry from those already working in the trades and professions and to find out how they got there. Many of the young people we work with might lack good careers guidance and positive role models, so this support can make a real difference for them.
We need volunteers to help us provide invaluable support to young people who are looking to find careers in the construction industry. By sharing your experiences and knowledge of the industry you can inspire and engage young people and help them find long-term sustainable employment within construction.
"I learnt about working in a team, not only with other graduate peers but also with an end client which teaches you a great deal of attributes; from how to serve your client in the best way to how to put your opinions across in a big group to be heard. All in all, I felt like taking part in the project greatly benefited all of us in making us more confident and giving us real responsibility whilst also helping out a great cause."

“It was nice to reflect on how I got to where I am today and inform young people about the route to a career in Structural Engineering. Seeing how enthusiastic some of the young men and women were and the feedback from them was very rewarding”
