One month in for our Schools and Programme Intern!

Funded by the Jack Petchey Foundation, our incredible new intern Max has been with us at the Trust for a month!

The Jack Petchey Foundation’s paid internship programme sees them fund 20 internships across 20 youth sector organisations based in London and Essex. The programme is designed to give young people a flying start in the charitable sector and, alongside funding their salary, offers training bursaries for the interns, as well as a range of training and development opportunities for the interns and their managers.

This internship is a great opportunity for me to gain experience in the charity sector and I look forward to developing a range of skills that will be vital to my career moving forward!

For us as at the Trust, the programme has allowed us to recruit a dynamic new member of staff who is going to be instrumental to the delivery of our work in Westminster, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Hammersmith and Fulham. Only just beginning his career journey within the charity sector, Max brings his recent experience of transitioning from education to employment and a fresh insight into how we can best prepare other young people for their next steps.

Max will be keeping a blog documenting his internship and work at the Trust. We’re sure it’s going to be a very exciting year for him and for us!
